French national center back Raphael Varane is reportedly set to join England’s Manchester United. He is currently leaving the Real Madrid team he plays.
Manchester United has been looking for a player to support their center-back Harry Maguire for some time and is now considering replacing him with Raphael Varane. Raphael Varane, 28, joined Real Madrid in Spain in 2011 and has played 359 games with them since then.
He also played as a key center back for the 2018 World Cup champions France. Varane is signing a five-year contract with Manchester United until 2026. If Varane leaves, it will be noted that both Real Madrid’s top and most experienced center backs have left the team this year.
Earlier, Real Madrid captain and senior center-back Sergio Ramos joined France’s PSG squad. The Madrid team added David Alaba of Austria to fill the vacancy left by him. If Varane leaves, he will be replaced by Brazilian Eder Militao in the Real Madrid defense.
